Commission for the Research of Collections of Archaeological Finds and Documents from Northeast Central Europe (KAFU)

The Commission for the Research of Collections of Archaeological Finds and Documents from Northeast Central Europe (KAFU) is a scholarly commission at the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation, in cooperation with the Romano-Germanic Commission of the German Archaeological Institute and the Faculty of Archaeology of the University of Warsaw.

Since 2001, colloquia have been held every two years, providing an overview of the progress in processing and making accessible the relevant sources, as well as of the tasks set by the Commission. In addition, the KAFU funds projects and scholarly publications that deal with material relevant to the Commission’s work.
